How Hines Ward - A Pittsburgh Steelers Player became a Lead Story?

Hines Ward – The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was held early in the morning on Saturday outside Atlanta claiming on a drunken driving allegation, according to the sheriff’s officials.

The ‘Super Bowl’ most important and magnificent player “Dancing with the Stars” champion was locked up in the DeKalb County jail in Decatur at 3:41 a.m. and indicted with driving under the power. A misunderstanding was occurred which could not be resolved for a long time. According to the Sheriff’s office website, Hines Ward was released by submitting $ 1,000 bond while the jail officials say that he was released on submitting $ 1,300 bond. The Sheriff’s office said we have completed our paper work for presenting in the court and we will not release any further information till the issuance of any verdict by the court.

According to Atlanta lawyer, Hines Ward is fully cooperating with the police and giving all the answers with full details relating to the charges. As per initial inquiry Hines was not harmed by alcohol while driving, on the basis of this we are confident that Hines Ward would be released very soon.  

However Hines Ward is deeply embarrassed over this misdeed and apologizes to his fans and Steelers organizations for this disturbance. However Steelers spokesman did not issued any statement on this issue.

It has been observed that most of the celebrities frequently neglect the feelings of the people, the fans, family, friends, and to the organizations that they are belonged. Their stories take a full time coverage in the print media and electronic media. The people want to see everything right about their ideals. So the above incident has also damaged the feelings of the people. Through the below difficulties of Hines Ward and afterward his success appear that he is a great player a marvelous and sympathetic man.

Early Age
Hines E. Ward Jr. was born on March 8, 1976 at Seoul, South Korea. His father Hines Ward Sr., was an African American national while his mother ‘Kim Yong’ was belonged to Seoul, South Korea. His family migrated from Seoul to Atlanta and then East point, Georgia. His father had to go to Germany for performing his duties. When Hines’s age was only one year his parents divorced, however his father was remained successful to convince the family court that Hine’s mother could not raise a child because she was not able to speak English properly. So Hines was grown up at his paternal grandmother till the age of seven. However Hines Ward appreciates the sacrifices and determination which has been made by his mother.    

When Hines Ward was got admission to a college it was revealed that he was missing an ACL of his left knee which had been eliminated during a bicycle accident when he was in childhood. His kneecap was broken in the fourth grade and the doctors were never accounted for the ligament. Initially Ward has been played during college time for the University of Georgia Bulldogs from 1994 to 1997 on a wide receiver position. Hines Ward obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Economics from University of Georgia and he was the member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Professional Career
Hines Ward is a key American football player who presently plays at the wide receiver position (which is considered a distinguish position in American football) for the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers, where he is playing since a very long time for the team. The Pittsburgh Steelers founded in 1933 are a proficient American Football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Presently the Steelers associate to the North Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League (NFL). The team has won six titles of Super Bowl, eight AFC Championship Games. Up till now the team has played 15 and hosted almost eleven conference championship games than any other AFC or AFC team. They won current championship Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.
He has been appointed for three times for MVP (most valuable player) selection. He is known to be one of the best wide outs in the game because of his strong hands and his keenness to block. He is also a four times NFL Pro-Bowl selection from 2001 to 2004. He also had a splash of 4 constant 1,000 yard seasons, which most likely could have carry on in the 2005 NFL season if he had not overlooked the game because of an injury.  He established a Steelers contract record for reception 112 and touchdown 12 and was entitled to his first of two successive All-NFL teams. In December 2007 Hines announced the Steelers unprecedented touchdown reception leader with 64th touchdown reception against the Bengals. After few days he became the Steelers all-time receiving yardage leader in a game against the St. Louis Rams. He was entitled the Steelers ‘2008’ Walter Payton Man of the Year, ABC’s “Person of the Week” and he made friendship with the two US presidents and two Korean presidents. In December 2008 Hines caught his 800th NFL reception expanding his record for reception by a Steelers receiver and he finished the game with 81 receptions for 1043 yards and 7 touchdowns on the year.  Hines signed a contract of $22 million extension by the Steelers on April 25, 2009.
In September 2010, playing against Atlanta Falcons, Hines remains the first player in Steelers history to cross 11,000 receiving yards. His 6 catches against the Falcons granted him 901 for his career, making him only the 12th NFL player of all time to go beyond 900 career receptions.
Social activities:
In 2006, when Hines Ward became the first Korean American national who won the Super Bowl MVP award, the achievement was highlighted in the South Korean’s media. That time, Hine Wards, for the first time making a declared visit to his birth place Seoul, where he used to his superstar status to organize hope-sharing meetings with multiracial Korean children and to cheer social and political developments. Here he donated $1 million US dollars to establish the Hines Ward Helping Hands Foundation in South Korea. The similar foundation is working as America one of the active foundation. Beside this he is running The Caring Foundation, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Pearl S. Buck International. Also he has started an education program for kids from his home town Georgia. He has been featured on the cover of several publications such as Time Magazine, Newsweek, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Moves Magazine and Whirl etc.  In September 2010, President Barack Obama nominated Hines Ward as a member of the President Advisory Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders.
